826 Valencia is thrilled to announce The Young Author's Scholarship. Beginning in 2003, we will be awarding $10,000 to a Bay Area student who shows a love of writing outside of school assignments. We will be keeping our eyes open for students who create zines or newspapers, or produce short collections of prose or poetry. The award will go to a student entering a two or four year college, and demonstrates financial need.
