This spring we will publish the inaugural issue of the 826 Valencia quarterly journal. We are looking for young writers, between the ages of 12 and 18, to share their talents with us. When we finish creating the publication, we will host a celebration featuring the contributors here at the center.

Some important things for you to know:

• Please submit us your work by March 1.
  
• We prefer electronic submissions. Send them to .
  
• If you do send a hard copy, please include a self-addressed envelope so that we can return your work to you.
  
• We are happy to receive your stories, poems, essays, comic strips,
  interviews, everything. The work can be one image, a series of sonnets, or a twenty page narrative.
  
• We are looking for work that you are proud of. Share with us your creativity, original voice, and honesty.
  
• We will let you know in mid-March if your work is selected for the
  publication.
