Funding for the California Arts Council is currently being threatened by statewide budget cuts. If these budget cuts are passed, the arts in San Francisco will suffer a major setback. Many public spaces will be forced to shut down, including the local Brava Theater Center, where we hosted a fundraising event with Denis Johnson last winter.
