We are proud to announce that the juniors and seniors from the Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, who wrote and edited family stories all semester, have completed their book, Home Wasn't Built in a Day: Constructing the Stories of our Families. Robin Williams, who shared his passion for family and storytelling in the foreword to this astounding collection, helped the authors celebrate their publication at the Forum Theater of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The inspiring reading was followed by a reception where the authors and their families shared even more stories over frothy, ice-cold milk and delicious cookies donated by Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino, Mrs. Maine, for whom we will cheer in her upcoming pageant.
