On Tuesday, February 26, we hosted one of our classic Storytelling & Bookmaking field trips, but with wine and sushi, and for adults. These events are fundraisers that benefit our free student programming, and this one was our biggest ever with over seventy people in attendance. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our community, and we are endlessly grateful to our sponsors. Particular thanks go to Ravenswood Winery for the donation of their legendary Zinfandel; to Maxine at Stem Flowers and Gifts and Cathy Johnson for providing the beautiful flowers; to ICHI for the mouthwatering sushi, chicken and rice; to Recchiuti for their decadent chocolates; to Abbey Party Rents for the tables, chairs, dishes, linen, and all the other stuff you need to put on a party; and Brian and Susan Gray and Karen Wagstaffe for the white wine donation, and for all of the hard work and dedication over the years.
