826 Valencia would like to give a huge thank you to Clif Bar & Company. Today, students at 826 (fully energized on chocolate and almonds) climbed up mini-mountains of language arts worksheets, hiked their way through arithmetic, and basked in the glory of a job well-done with their wonderful tutors, all thanks to an extremely generous donation of 4,000 (That’s right, 4,000!) bars from Clif Bar & Company. This incredibly kind (and sweet) contribution will allow us to serve a healthy snack every day of our after-school tutoring program this year. We can’t even begin to describe how helpful this donation was—from the sight of excited student faces ready to eat a hearty treat and face the homework-doing day, to the relieved faces of tutors at getting their tutees re-focused on their assignments.
