Funding for the California Arts Council is currently being threatened by statewide budget cuts. If these budget cuts are passed, the arts in San Francisco will suffer a major setback. Many public spaces will be forced to shut down, including the local Brava Theater Center, where we hosted a fundraising event with Denis Johnson last winter.

Lili (Uriridiakoghene) Onovakpuri from San Lorenzo High School, Eamon Doyle from Leadership High School, and Yalie Kamara from Head Royce are the winners of our 2003 scholarships.

The scholarships were awarded as follows:
