We’re thrilled to announce that Daniela Bazán will be joining us through the end of this school year as the major component of her San Francisco Urban Service Project (www.sfusp.org). She is working with us in the schools, in our satellite Writers’ Room at Everett Middle School, and helping with our Young Authors’ project at Wallenberg Alternative High School this year before she enters her PhD. in Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley. Your school and classroom can participate in One City One Book: San Francisco Reads 2006! During 2005, more than 1,000 high school students participated in the San Francisco Public Library's first One City One Book, reading and discussing China Boy, and listening to author Gus Lee in person. more »
