We believe that students can make great leaps in their understanding of composition, grammar and self-expression through one-on-one attention from skilled teachers and tutors working in support of classroom instructors. In addition to the tutors, we also have many on-site resources for students. »
We offer free after-school tutoring to help individual students with creative writing, expository writing, or English as a second language. We give students a lot of time and attention to nurture their unique work. During the week, from Monday through Thursday, our program is only for enrolled students.
Anyone (age 6 to 18) who needs help with homework can drop in on Sundays only, from 2:30&—4:30 PM. Our waitlist for weekday tutoring is currently closed, but check back with us next school year for openings. You can also go to www.sfkids.org and find many other excellent after school and tutoring programs.
Teachers seeking extra help or one-on-one attention for their students should contact us. You provide the scope of the project, time, school and classroom location, and we will send as many tutors as needed.
We offer a variety of college preparation assistance to high school seniors. These include: SAT prep and college essay workshops. We also have three scholarships available for Bay Area high school students.
