Join us for an afternoon seminar moderated by acclaimed San Francisco cartoonist Keith Knight (creator of "The K Chronicles") and featuring a panel of other funny people. Learn about and discuss issues pertaining to writers of funny things. Panelists for this seminar include:

Will Durst, syndicated columnist, stand-up comedian, host/co-producer of the multiple Emmy nominated PBS series Livelyhood, contributor to the San Francisco Chronicle, The San Francisco Examiner and The New York Times among other newspapers, regular commentator on NPR and CNN, and former contributing editor to National Lampoon and George.
Josh Kornbluth, monologist, co-writer/co-director/co-producer of the film Haiku Tunnel, author of the book Red Diaper Baby, contributor to San Francisco magazine and www.salon.com.
Don Asmussen, editorial cartoonist, creator of the comic strips "Bad Reporter," "Super Average Joe," and "The San Francisco Comic Strip," contributor to Time, George, the San Francisco Chronicle, creator of the web cartoon "Like, News" on www.mondomedia.com.
Cameron Tuttle, author of numerous books including The Bad Girl's Guide to the Open Road, The Paranoid's Pocket Guide, and The Bad Girl's Guide to Getting What You Want, and creator of the UPN television series The Bad Girl's Guide, and the publishing company Bad Girl Swirl Inc.

In addition to reflecting on the writing process, the panelists will address issues related to the publishing aspects of writing, such as contacting agents and working with publishing houses. Each panelist comes to 826 with a unique experience and approach to humor writing. No details will be spared, all pertinent secrets will be revealed.
