Creating Children’s Literature
December 6, 2009

6:30-9PM

Our final Adult Writers’ Seminar of 2009! Do you regale children each night with epic adventures of your own creation? Perhaps you’ve been tossing around daydreams but have never gotten around to jotting them down on paper? Maybe you’ve finished your story but aren’t sure how to go about getting it in print? Join us for a fun-filled discussion on writing children’s literature and getting your work published. The conversation will range from discussing ideas and working with illustrators to how to turn thoughts and musings into fully developed stories.

In addition to reflecting on the writing process, the panelists will address issues related to the publishing aspects of children’s literature, such as contacting agents, working with publishing houses, and running a successful blog. Each panelist comes to 826 with a unique experience and approach, and their combined expertise should prove an invaluable resource for aspiring and seasoned writers alike. No details will be spared, all pertinent secrets will be revealed.
