Madly inspired, maddened by the pesky gerund, the persnickety gerundive, and mad for Madlibs, students of Liz Worthy’s workshop last week mastered the Madlib form. Not only did they vault the dynamic compound-adverb to the very highest stratum of expression, they also familiarized themselves with all the necessary components of existing Madlibs. Thus fortified, the students embarked on the spooky, ghoulish, often vampirish task of composing their own Madlib stories with which to divert unsuspecting trick-or-treaters this holiday season.
