826 Valencia and Youth Speaks are combining forces to host their fifth annual free summer writing camp! From June 18th to June 22nd, students will team up with professional writers, poets, and spoken word artists to develop their writing skills. Camp participants will have the opportunity to be published in the Fall 2007 issue of the 826 Quarterly.

Guest speakers for the 2007 camp will be announced shortly. Guest speakers in past years have included Michael Chabon, Dave Eggers, James Kass, Stephen Elliott, Erica Lopez, Nina Marie Martinez, Spike Jonze, Julie Orringer, Noah Hawley, Kim Addonizio, Ryan Hartley, and Mark Danner.
