About our Education Programs Internship

826 Valencia’s Education Programs Internship is an opportunity to learn about the field of education in a nonprofit environment! You will grow your skills as an educator and provide consistent, culturally responsive support to youth from under-resourced communities.

To support hands-on learning, interns receive direct coaching, dedicated training, and professional development throughout their experience. Day-to-day, interns learn about effective writing instruction by tutoring 2nd-12th grade students in small groups, helping prepare our students’ work for publication, assisting our staff around the classroom, and creating a welcoming, fun, and inclusive atmosphere for student learning.

We are committed to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and we encourage Black, Indigenous, and people of color to apply. To better support our student population, we also encourage applicants with Spanish and Arabic language skills to apply.
