Join us for a 2-hour workshop brought to you by Nicole Marie, author of the After Intelligence series. In this workshop, students will embark on interactive sci-fi adventures as they explore how technology is shaping humanity. Through discussion games, students will consider ethical issues underlying our technology use and envision new inventions for the future. Students will then co-create their own sci-fi choose-your-own-adventure stories that provide readers with tough choices about befriending androids, moving to virtual worlds, allowing tech companies access to their brains, and other sci-fi conundrums that are rapidly colliding with reality.
This workshop will take place in the writing lab at 826 Valencia St.
This a one-day workshop: Sunday, October 18th, 12pm-2pm.

After registering, staff will reach out to offer a spot depending on eligibility and availability in the program. Our workshops are open to anyone, but we do give priority to SFUSD students with socio-economic need and hold spaces for students enrolled in our other programs.
