Got big ideas but hate raising your hand? Does your heart race the second it’s your turn to talk? Ever wish you could walk into any room and just own it? Then you’ve found the right workshop! In this workshop series, you’ll play improv games, learn the Four P’s of powerful speaking (Presence, Posture, Projection, and Pace), and build short speeches about things you actually care about, from teaching the class something cool to telling a story only you can tell. By the end, you’ll feel confident speaking up and speaking for yourself.
This workshop will take place in the writing lab at 826 Valencia St.
This a six-week workshop and students are required to attend all dates: Sundays, September 13th – October 25th, 10am-12pm.
To express interest in this workshop fill out this form.
After registering, staff will reach out to offer a spot depending on eligibility and availability in the program. Our workshops are open to anyone, but we do give priority to SFUSD students with socio-economic need and hold spaces for students enrolled in our other programs.
