Once Upon a Story (Ages 8-12)

Calling out to all those that dreamed of acting in their own self-directed play!! Calling out to all those that are willing to step out of their comfort zone!! Join us for a three-session writing workshop brought to you by 826 Valencia and student educator Ela Y.

In this workshop, students will build confidence, public speaking skills, creativity, and social skills. Participants will learn how to write, direct, and perform their own original play, while taking full control over the choice of characters, settings and the plot. However, students along the way will not only develop their acting and writing skills, but will also learn how to collaborate with their peers to put together a final performance.

This a three-week workshop and students are required to attend all dates:
Sundays March 15th-March 29th 12:00 PM-2:00 PM

After registering, staff will reach out to offer a spot depending on eligibility and availability in the program. Our workshops are open to anyone, but we do give priority to SFUSD students with socio-economic need and hold spaces for students enrolled in our other programs.
