Come join us for a nautical writing adventure on the high seas! The workshop will begin with an OPTIONAL trip to San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, where you will tour the Award Winning Visitor Center filled with unique maritime artifacts. Learn about lighthouses, passenger ships, underwater worlds and more! During the second two sessions, you will craft stories, sea songs, poems or letters, incorporating the sites and sounds of the sea. Students will read their writing aloud for family and friends at 826 Valencia on Sunday, February 9th.

*NOTE: For the 1/26 field trip, 826 staff will not be present, so families must arrange their own transportation and students are required to bring an adult chaperone. Museum staff will meet you and guide you through the tour.

After registering, staff will reach out to offer a spot depending on eligibility and availability in the program. Our workshops are open to anyone, but we do give priority to SFUSD students with socio-economic need and hold spaces for students enrolled in our other programs.
