Write Out Loud: VOW + 826 Valencia (Ages 11-14)

Join us for an oral storytelling workshop in collaboration with our sister organization and longtime partner, Voice of Witness (VOW). VOW is known for using storytelling techniques rooted in empathy, inquiry, and agency to create spaces for deep listening and learning. In this session, students will learn what oral storytelling is, how to harness it to explore their curiosity, and then share their stories out loud. By the end of the session, each student will have a first draft of a personal narrative and a clear understanding of the importance of oral storytelling.
