Each Fall, City Arts & Lectures presents “On Arts,” a series of talks and interviews benefiting the 826 Valencia College Scholarship program. The events feature conversations with writers, artists, comedians, actors, and other cultural figures. Proceeds help a group of deserving students from our community attend college.
All events take place at the Nourse Theater, located at 275 Hayes Street (between Van Ness and Franklin), 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for the complete series (save money and enjoy premium seating), or for individual events.
Thursday, November 5: Isabel Allende, in conversation with Rose Aguilar.
Tuesday, November 10: Dan Savage, in conversation with Michelle Tea.
Thursday, November 12: Jesse Eisenberg, in conversation with Steven Winn.
Monday, November 16: W. Kamau Bell, an evening of stand-up and conversation. In conversation with Jeff Chang.
Tuesday, December 8: Jonathan Franzen, in conversation with Ann Packer.
Monday, December 14: Mary-Louise Parker, in conversation with Mary Karr.
