This year, 826 Valencia will be awarding six, $15,000 scholarships to outstanding students enrolled in school in San Francisco. Unlike previous years, eligible students will have participated in 826 Valencia programming at some point during their school years. If you are a high school senior and have attended a field trip, workshop, tutoring, personal statement weekend, or had 826 Valencia tutors visit your school or classroom for a writing project, you are invited to apply. In addition to your experience with 826 Valencia, you must be a high school graduating senior, demonstrate financial need, go to school in San Francisco, and demonstrate intent to enroll in a vocational school, college, or university. Also new this year: the application is available online. Paper applications will not be accepted.
The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. on February 16, 2015.
