We’re thrilled to present the 2016 Bookeaters’ Bash, our largest annual fundraising extravaganza benefiting 826 Valencia’s free writing, tutoring, and publishing programs for San Francisco youth. There’s much to celebrate this spring as we launch a new center in the Tenderloin neighborhood, bringing our unique brand of impactful programs to one of San Francisco’s most under-resourced areas. Join us and our special guest Mindy Kaling to celebrate and support this epic expansion!
Program and Ticket Info:
6:30 p.m.: The Bash $250/ticket through May 1, $300/ticket or 4 for $1,100 thereafter.
The Warfield Theatre, 982 Market St. (at 6th St.)
Celebrate into the night with a hosted bar, delicious artisanal food, on-stage conversation with Mindy Kaling, the music of local indie rock band Geographer, a lively auction, and more. General seating at the Bash is open, with opportunities for guests to mingle, nosh, bid, and dance. TICKETS
5:00–6:00 p.m.: VIP Cocktail Hour – SOLD OUT!

Join an intimate group of our co-founders, our board, and special guest Mindy Kaling for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the brand-new 826 Valencia Tenderloin Center, a whimsical space for learning, creativity, and community. Then, join us two blocks away at the acclaimed Warfield Theatre to keep the party going! Guests with tickets at this level will have reserved seating for the program at the Warfield, VIP gift bags, and a special viewing of a student mini-play. The Details:
Getting there: Easily accessible via MUNI or BART. Nearest public parking lots at 64 Golden Gate Ave. and 99 Golden Gate Ave. Alternative transportation, such as taxis and car service, is recommended.
Guests who join the VIP Cocktail Hour may walk from the Tenderloin Center to the Warfield Theatre, or can take a provided shuttle with other guests.
