The 826 Valencia Associate Board (VAB) is a group of young professionals interested in making a difference in their community. Representing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, they are united by a passion for 826 Valencia’s mission.
The VAB was formed as a junior board in 2018 to support 826 Valencia’s fundraising goals and build community. They support 826 Valencia through fundraising, volunteering, community outreach, and more!
What are the expectations of VAB members?
🤝 Participate: Attend monthly meetings and quarterly team-bonding events
💥 Fundraise: Help plan and execute the VAB’s annual fundraising marquee event and other fundraising opportunities (group exercise classes, bartending nights, and more!)
📕 Volunteer: Volunteer at 826 Valencia’s Writing Centers, partner schools, or at 826 Valencia staff-hosted community events
