It’s SFUSD’s first week of school! We’re excited to join our students as we kick off our fall programming. To keep the momentum going throughout the next couple of months, we’re joining our friends at Spark SF Public Schools and SFUSD, who just launched their campaign Be Here! It’s a citywide campaign to boost student attendance and foster belonging in every SF public school.
Did you know that budgets are defined by attendance, not enrollment? Furthermore, missing two days a month can make it harder for a kindergartener to learn to read, a middle schooler to stay engaged, or a high schooler to graduate.
We’ve joined the campaign to help share one important message: Be Here! Because school is where students grow, connect, and thrive.
