826 Valencia is bidding farewell to a longtime community member, Olivia White Lopez, Director of Volunteer Engagement. Olivia is leaving her post to pursue an amazing opportunity at a nonprofit across the Bay, and is leaving behind big shoes to fill!
Volunteers and interns are the lifeblood of 826 Valencia. The Director of Volunteer Engagement oversees 826 Valencia’s volunteer and internship programs, leveraging a community of caring adults in the San Francisco Bay Area to provide individualized attention to our students and help them build the confidence, pride, skills, and creativity that will lead to future success. The Director of Volunteer Engagement provides strategic leadership and guidance on research-based, data-driven volunteer engagement practices, and manages the work of the Volunteer Engagement Team in order to inspire people to get involved and make a difference.
