Introducing High Seas, a chocolate bar like you’ve never seen or tasted before
San Francisco, CA; November 28, 2012 — We at 826 Valencia and Dandelion Chocolate have discovered a new chocolate. The other day, a pirate wandered into the office, unshaven, parrotless, and clutching, in his right hand, a bar of chocolate.
He swore up and down that “this miracle thing” would cure everything from wobbly liver to the vapors. We tried a bite, and discovered that it was indeed extraordinary; along with the familiar sweetness, there was a taste of the high seas where this man had come from. He was right; it was delicious.
This sea-salt chocolate bar is available at Dandelion Chocolate’s factory and at The Pirate Supply Store. This High Seas bar comes complete with the story of its acquisition and a chapbook of 826 Valencia student writing about chocolate entitled “If I Were a Wizard Chocolatier”. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this High Seas bundle benefit the Pirate Supply Store-fronted 826 Valencia, a writing and publishing nonprofit on Valencia Street.

About Dandelion Chocolate
Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory located in the Mission District of San Francisco. We are opening our workshop out of a lifetime love of chocolate. We roast, crack, sort, winnow, grind, conch, and temper small batches of beans and then mold and package each bar by hand. By sourcing high quality beans and carefully crafting tiny batches, we try to bring out the individual flavors and nuances of each bean. Our 740 Valencia Street space will be the primary production site for our award-winning, single-origin, dark chocolate bars. The cafe, opening at the front of the factory in the next few weeks, will offer hot chocolate and pastries to be enjoyed while watching our chocolate makers hard at work.
