We’re currently accepting applications for Educational Programming Internships for the spring of 2017 (January – May). Educational Programming interns will focus on supporting our student programs, which will involve tutoring students one-on-one and in small groups, developing lesson plans, publishing our students’ writing, and assisting our staff in the ins and outs of program management and scheduling volunteers. By the end of the internship, you will have gained skills in both education and nonprofit work environments. We are currently seeking candidates with 12–15 hour/week of weekday availability for the following roles:
-Supporting our Buena Vista Horace Mann programs 3 days/ week, including Mondays and Wednesdays from 2–6:30 p.m.
-Supporting our Storytelling and Bookmaking Field Trips program 2-3 days a week, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am– 12:30 p.m.
-Supporting our After-School Tutoring program 2-3 days a week, including Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 p.m.–8:15 p.m.
-Supporting our In-Schools program 2-3 days a week, including Tuesdays 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.
