Writing Out Loud: a Podcast

This January, we were thrilled to offer Writing Out Loud, a four-week podcasting workshop taught by Dana Belott, Dory Culver, and Ed Cavagnaro. In this class, four brave middle and high school students learned what makes podcasting different from other kinds of storytelling and how to write for the ear. They then came up with their own story ideas, setting out to answer questions like, does Santa Claus exist after all? And do students make their homework load for stressful by complaining about it too often? After editing their pieces and reading them aloud for practice, each student recorded their own podcast.
