Recent Partnerships

  • The Bay List

    We are partnering with The Bay List to lift up exceptional screenplays and pilots by local writers.
  • Paramount Pictures

    826 National organized a nationwide collaboration with Paramount Pictures and the the movie IF. Students wrote about imaginary friends and attended a screening of the movie!
  • BART Lines Teen Poetry Contest

    We collaborated with BART on their first ever Teen Poetry Contest. The winning student pieces are featured in Short Edition Story Dispensers in BART stations.
  • Muni Art

    We partnered with SFMTA, SFUSD, and SF Beautiful on Muni Art. Our students’ writing was featured on 100 city buses.
  • City Assessor's Office

    Students across our programs wrote reflections on what home, community, and San Francisco mean to them.
  • The Line Hotel

    Writing from students in our Tenderloin Center programs is featured in each room at The Line Hotel.
  • Odes to a Hero

    Students wrote odes to healthcare workers at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Funding for this project was provided in part by Saint Francis Foundation.
  • Equator Coffees

    Equator Coffees featured student writing on cup sleeves in their cafes, and donated $1 from every purchase of a pour-over or bag to us.
  • Craftsman & Wolves

    Every year, Craftsman & Wolves creates a cake inspired by our student' writing and sells the delicious product.
  • Whetstone Magazine

    Whetstone Magazine, a Bay Area based food journal, published our student writing on their blog.
  • Pizza Poetry

    We partner with local pizza parlors to celebrate National Poetry Month in April. Participating businesses feature student poems (about pizza) on their take-out boxes!

Community Partners

  • SPARK Social SF

    Our neighbors in Mission Bay have hosted us for volunteer recruitment events, staff celebrations, and other community celebrations.
  • San Francisco SPCA

    As part of their “Puppy Dog Tales” program, an SPCA volunteer brings a dog to Mission Bay After-School Tutoring. Students practice their reading by reading out loud to their furry friend.
  • Noise Pop

    Noise Pop continues to support our work year after year by selecting 826 Valencia as the beneficiary of their 20th Street Block Party.
  • Litquake

    We have partnered with Litquake numerous times and have participated in their wonderful community event, Lit Crawl.
  • Babylon Burning

    Local screen printer Babylon Burning has printed 826 Valencia merchandise for many years, and has partnered with us on original designs.
  • GreenBizTracker

    We’re a SF Certified Green Business! GreenBizTracker measures energy, pollution prevention, solid waste, transportation, wastewater, water, and community practices.
